Biography

As a third-generation pilot, Spencer has been immersed in the world of aviation since birth. Growing up, he was surrounded by the hum of engines and the thrill of flight, learning the ropes of flying, buying, and selling airplanes alongside his father and grandfather. For Spencer, aviation wasn’t just a passion—it was his way of life.

In 2018, Spencer transformed his lifelong love for aviation into a business by founding Spinnin’ Blades Services. This venture allowed him to continue doing what he loved most: working with airplanes. The name “Spinnin Blades” has a special meaning rooted in Spencer’s teenage years. At 14, Spencer worked hard to fund his flight training, whether it was cutting grass or working in his grandfather’s corrugated container plant. His late uncle would often comment on his lifestyle, saying Spencer was always “spinnin’ blades.” Whether it was a lawnmower, a press in the box plant, a jet ski, dirt bike, or an airplane, Spencer was always in motion.

The logo of Spinnin’ Blades, featuring a prop blade, is a tribute to these early days and Spencer’s enduring passion for aviation. And of course, with roots in North Carolina, the company’s name naturally drops the “g”—a nod to its Southern heritage.

Today, Spencer continues to lead Spinnin’ Blades Services with the same dedication and enthusiasm he’s had since childhood, sharing his love for aviation with clients and ensuring that the family legacy of flight lives on.
